Response To Facing Troubles

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 2 Corinthians 4: 16-17
"If God is for us, who can be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? " Romans 8:31
"I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak his praises. I will boast only in the Lord; let all who are helpless take heart. Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness; let us exalt his name together. I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears. " Psalm 34:1-4

Many non-believers, including myself at that time before I came to know and learn about Christ, actually thought that the folly of Christianity, or believing in God and Jesus, was that believers felt that God would deliver them from all of the problems, and troubles of living on this earth. The truth is, that when one finally learns how to turn to God, problems and troubles may increase, either in reality, or by our imagination. Perhaps we just become more aware of our problems because we thought that God was going to take care of our issues. But, God also sends difficulties to help us learn how we are to seek Him, and put our trust in Him.

Why would God allow trouble and hardship to fall upon His followers? He does have reasons for this:

When we turn to God in times of trouble, more often than not, we will not get a instant fix to our trouble. However, when we turn to God, we will be reminded of His love and caring for us. The comfort, and peace that His love will give us will help us get through troublesome times.

When you call upon the power of God, which lies inside of all believers, 2 things will happen:

Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. James 1:2-4
